He stated that the ministry has paid 9 billion and 469 million Afghanis to disabled persons, women, and orphaned children. This distribution has occurred since the beginning of this solar year.
The spokesperson for the Ministry of Martyrs and Disabled also mentioned the start of the second round of salary payments for martyrs and disabled persons. He added that this process has begun across the country.
Khamoosh said: “The Ministry of Martyrs and Disabled has distributed approximately 9 billion and 469 million Afghanis from its allocated budget to orphans, disabled persons, and widows.”

Disabled Individuals Demand Timely Allowance Payments Amid Economic Hardships
At the same time, a number of disabled individuals have complained about the challenges in their lives and have demanded the timely disbursement of their allowances.
Islam Gul, a resident of Paktia province, has come to Kabul to receive his disability pension. He is the sole breadwinner for his family and faces numerous economic challenges.
Islam Gul told TOLOnews that they haven’t received their salaries for the past six months. He stated that they should now receive payment for those six months.
Other disabled individuals also spoke about the economic hardships they face. They demanded that the Ministry of Martyrs and Disabled pay their rights as soon as possible.
Abdul Saboor, one of the disabled individuals, said: “They have not paid our disability salaries on time; they only paid the first round, and nothing since then. As winter approaches, we will face difficulties.”
Ahmad Munir, another disabled individual, said: “Our request is that they also pay us for the second round because winter is coming, and we have nothing to prepare for it.”
Officials from the Ministry of Martyrs and Disabled report that 653,000 disabled individuals, widows, and orphans live across the country.
