Islamic Emirate Probes Claims of Shooting by Iranian Forces of Afghan Migrants

Zabihullah Mujahid is the spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate. He stated that investigations into the claims of Iranian forces shooting Afghan migrants are ongoing.

Zabihullah Mujahid said that a delegation sent by the Islamic Emirate has visited three countries and is in talks with government officials, residents, and border authorities.

Mujahid also cited the distant location of the incident from the country as the reason for the prolonged investigation.

The spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate said: “The investigative team sent here is visiting the borders of the three countries and meeting with border officials and authorities. They are closely examining the reasons behind the claim.”

Meanwhile, some political analysts are urging the interim government to share the findings of this investigation with the public.

They also call on organizations that support migrants to protect Afghan citizens in other countries.

Mohammad Bilal Omar, an international relations expert, said: “People living in another country have specific rights. It is the duty of international organizations to visit the area and provide documented evidence.”

Sayed Akbar Sial Wardak, a political affairs expert, also said: “The government must share documented evidence with the public to ease emotions and dispel propaganda.”

Earlier, reports surfaced regarding Iranian forces shooting at several Afghan migrants in the Kalagan area of Saravan, Sistan, and Baluchistan, Iran, following which Iran’s ambassador and special representative to Afghanistan denied the incident.
