IEA Ambassador Meets with Pakistan’s HEC Chairman

Sardar Ahmad Shakeeb, the Acting Ambassador of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) in Islamabad, held a meeting with Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad, Chairman of Pakistan’s Higher Education Commission (HEC), to address various challenges faced by Afghan students in Pakistani universities.

According to a statement from the Afghanistan Embassy in Islamabad, the discussions focused on issues such as scholarship provisions, student visas, accommodation, short-term academic programs, and challenges related to the enrollment of new students.

Dr. Ahmad reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to addressing these issues in coordination with relevant authorities. He also emphasized the importance of fostering bilateral cooperation between the universities of both countries to enhance capacity building and create necessary educational facilities within Afghanistan.

The HEC chairman assured the IEA ambassador of all possible efforts to resolve the outlined challenges through effective collaboration with Pakistani institutions.
