The Tri-Nation Tournament in Oman crowned the Afghanistan A Cricket Team as the champion.
The organizers scheduled Afghan A cricketers to face Hong Kong in the final match of the 20-over tri-nation series yesterday (Tuesday). However, they canceled the match due to rain.
Officials from the Afghanistan Cricket Board declared the Afghanistan A team the Tri-Nation tournament champion. The team secured two victories against Hong Kong and the host, Oman. It also achieved better overall results compared to its rivals.
The 20-over cricket matches, involving the Afghanistan A team, the host Oman, and Hong Kong, had been taking place for some time.
Afghanistan Cricket Board officials also announced that Afghan players will compete in the Asian Youth Cup against teams from Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Hong Kong. They have scheduled their first match in this tournament for October 18, 2024, against Sri Lanka.
