Kabir: Islamic Emirate Has Addressed Threats From Afghanistan’s Soil

The deputy prime minister for political affairs, Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, stated in a meeting with Veronika Bošković-Pohar, chargé d’affaires of the European Union to Afghanistan, that the Islamic Emirate has addressed concerns about threats originating from Afghanistan’s soil.

Mawlawi Abdul Kabir stressed that the Islamic Emirate seeks positive relations with all countries worldwide.

According to the deputy spokesperson of the Islamic Emirate, Veronika Bošković-Pohar, Chargé d’Affaires of the European Union to Afghanistan, also stressed in this meeting the importance of relations between the Islamic Emirate and the European Union.

Hamdullah Fitrat, deputy spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate, said: “The Islamic Emirate seeks positive relations with all countries globally and is striving for Afghanistan’s reconstruction and economic self-sufficiency.”

He reassured that the Islamic Emirate is actively working to prevent any threats to international peace and stability from Afghanistan’s soil.

In a statement attributed to Veronika Bošković-Pohar, it was noted that the European Union is working to conduct effective activities in Afghanistan in areas where they are needed.

During the meeting, Mawlawi Abdul Kabir requested EU assistance in developmental areas, drug eradication, alternative agriculture, and the creation of employment opportunities.

Some political analysts view the role of the European Union as effective in resolving the country’s challenges and believe that these meetings foster better relations and build trust.

“The Islamic Emirate and the individuals meeting with them should demonstrate their positive capacities to the European Union and highlight the significant activities they have undertaken. I am confident that this will have a positive impact and attract global trust,” said Samim Shamsi, a political analyst.

Earlier, the Ministry of Economy announced in a statement a $100 million commitment from the European Union to support humanitarian and development projects in Afghanistan.
