General Directorate of Passports Spokesperson: ‘No Corruption’ in This Directorate

General Directorate of Passports claims zero corruption, issuing 12,000 passports daily and improving distribution efficiency.

Officials from the General Directorate of Passports told TOLOnews that they have eradicated corruption within the department. 

Omari Logari, spokesperson for the General Directorate of Passports, said that currently passport applicants can receive their passports within a week without any issues.

Omari Logari told TOLOnews: “With the efforts of the Passport Directorate’s leadership, there is no corruption within this directorate, and the level of corruption has reached zero. Our aim in providing these facilities at the Passport Directorate is to prevent corruption.”

According to the spokesperson for the General Directorate of Passports, the distribution process is proceeding normally, with seven thousand passports issued daily to applicants. He said that patients can receive their passports urgently.

The spokesperson said: “We are now able to distribute passports to twelve thousand applicants daily. Currently, we print approximately six to seven thousand passports every day.”

Meanwhile, some passport applicants express satisfaction with the improvements in the distribution process but emphasize that further facilitation is necessary.

“I came here to get a passport, and now the distribution process has become very simple and easy. I received my passport within a day,” said Mohammad Khan, a passport applicant.

“Previously, it would take six months, even up to a year, to obtain a passport. Now it has become much easier to get one,” said Nematullah Haqyar, another applicant.

According to information from the General Directorate of Passports, all facilities are available for both men and women at the distribution centers. With the opening of new centers, the passport distribution process has been expedited.
