Three-Day Afghan-Kazakh Exhibition Opens in Almaty

Afghan-Kazakh exhibition in Almaty fosters trade relations, featuring 250 Afghan traders showcasing diverse products.

Almaty, Kazakhstan, inaugurated the second three-day Afghan-Kazakh exhibition. The acting Minister of Industry and Commerce of the Islamic Emirate and the Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan attended the event.

Nooriddin Azizi is the acting Minister of Industry and Commerce. He described the exhibition as beneficial for strengthening economic, trade, and transit relations between Afghanistan and Kazakhstan. He urged Kazakhstan to provide more facilities for Afghan exports to regional markets.

Nooruddin Azizi said, “We ask the countries of the region, especially the friendly and brotherly country of Kazakhstan, to provide full support and facilities for Afghan products. These products are of good quality. This support will help promote their exports and ensure easy access to regional and global markets.”

At the same time, the Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan referred to Afghanistan as an important and inseparable trade partner for Kazakhstan in South and Central Asia. He emphasized that Kazakhstan is keen to maintain trade, economic, transport, logistics, and energy relations with Afghanistan.

Serik Zhumangarin, the Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, stated, “Kazakhstan not only exports its products to Afghanistan but also helps Afghan goods enter our market, and the Afghan-Kazakh exhibition confirms this.”

Afghan Traders Express Satisfaction

Meanwhile, some Afghan participants, who showcased Afghan products at the exhibition, expressed their satisfaction with the event.

Shaikh Rahmani, a booth holder, said, “Our request from the Islamic Emirate is to organize more such exhibitions. This will allow the people of Afghanistan to easily introduce and present Afghan domestic products to the world.”

Mohammad Zia Qaderi, another booth holder, said, “We are very happy that this exhibition takes place outside the country.”

The Ministry of Industry and Commerce reported that 250 Afghan traders displayed domestic products at the Afghan-Kazakh exhibition. The Afghan traders showcased sweets, dried and fresh fruits, jewelry, handicrafts, leather products, carpets, and construction materials in 70 booths, designating 12 of them for women, over three days.
