Amir Khan Muttaqi, the foreign minister of the IEA, met with Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the United Arab Emirates’ foreign minister, during his visit to the UAE.
According to a statement released by the IEA’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two discussed bilateral relations. They also talked about economic cooperation and regional development during their meeting.
The statement noted that officials decided to initiate technical efforts to enhance trade between Afghanistan and the UAE and facilitate marketing opportunities for Afghan traders.
The IEA also requested the UAE to simplify visa issuance processes for Afghan citizens.
Meanwhile, the UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement. In the statement, Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan reiterated his country’s commitment. He emphasized the UAE’s support for a prosperous, stable, and developed Afghanistan.
