For his part, the Norwegian ambassador acknowledged Afghanistan’s recent progress, highlighting a notable improvement in security and stability across the country. He noted that international organizations have observed a decrease in violence and an increase in governance mechanisms, which could help Afghanistan regain its position on the global stage.

Ilsaas also reiterated Norway’s commitment to constructive dialogue, stating that diplomatic engagement is essential to address Afghanistan’s economic challenges, including foreign investments, banking reforms, and international trade relations.

Additionally, both sides discussed the Afghan diaspora in Norway and Europe, emphasizing their role in fostering positive ties between Afghanistan and European nations. The Afghan ambassador stressed that stronger cooperation with Norway and other European countries could help Afghanistan integrate into the global economic system.

The meeting concluded with an understanding to explore further diplomatic channels and exchange delegations in the future. Norway has been one of the few Western countries actively engaging with Afghanistan, advocating for humanitarian aid and dialogue despite international concerns.
